1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Avenue Progressive Baptist Church website and church management system at avenuepbc.site (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Avenue Progressive Baptist Church provides an online platform for:

• Church membership management and member directories
• Event scheduling, registration, and attendance tracking
• Online donation and giving management
• Church communications including email and SMS notifications
• Visitor registration and follow-up coordination
• Prayer request submission and sharing
• Ministry coordination and volunteer management

3. User Accounts

Certain features of the Service require you to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify the church office immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

The church reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are inactive for an extended period.

4. Donations and Payments

Online donations are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree that:

• All donations are voluntary and made at your own discretion
• Donations are non-refundable unless otherwise determined by church leadership on a case-by-case basis
• Recurring donations can be cancelled at any time by contacting the church office
• You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available for recurring donations
• Donation receipts will be provided for tax purposes in accordance with applicable laws
• The church is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code

5. SMS and Email Communications

By providing your phone number or email address, you consent to receive communications from Avenue Progressive Baptist Church. These communications may include church announcements, event reminders, ministry updates, and other relevant information.

6. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Share, distribute, or misuse personal information of other members obtained through the member directory
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or other users' accounts
• Use the Service to send spam, solicit, or advertise products or services unrelated to church activities
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Use automated scripts or bots to access or interact with the Service

7. Member Directory

The church member directory is provided as a convenience for members to connect with one another. Information in the directory is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use within the church community. Members may opt out of appearing in the directory through their profile settings. Misuse of directory information, including for commercial solicitation, is strictly prohibited.

8. Prayer Requests

Prayer requests submitted through the Service may be shared with church staff and prayer teams. Public prayer requests may be visible to other authenticated members. You are responsible for ensuring you have consent before submitting prayer requests on behalf of others. Anonymous requests will not display your name, but may still be visible to church administrators for follow-up purposes.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Avenue Progressive Baptist Church or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Avenue Progressive Baptist Church makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The church shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
• The church is not responsible for any errors in donation processing by third-party payment providers
• The church does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
